Account with a transponder

This is the most effective option. Your vehicle will be automatically recognised when it crosses the bridge. Toll and monthly administration fees are debited from the balance of your prepaid customer account.

Account without a transponder

You can also choose not to use a transponder. Your vehicle will be identified using video tolling technology (licence plate imagery). Toll cost and administration fees will be debited from the balance of your customer account for each crossing.

For crossings without a customer account, your vehicle will be identified by video tolling (licence plate imagery). Billing for the crossing will include toll and administration fees for each crossing. An invoice is generated after every crossing and subsequently mailed for payment.

The A25 Bridge The Smart Link is a free-flow, fully electronic toll bridge, without any toll station, requiring no stopping or slowing down. Tolling is applied to both directions. The most effective option is to open a customer account with a transponder. The transponder is read by the system ensures instantaneous capture of your crossing. You thus benefit from the most favourable rates.

For crossings made without a transponder, billing is based on video tolling (licence plate imagery). Administration fees are added to toll.

By choosing the automatic replenishment payment method, you authorize CA25 to debit the credit card linked to your customer account once your account reaches the replenishment threshold applicable per vehicle duly registered to your customer account, as set out in the Terms and Conditions of Use.

By opting for the manual replenishment method, you agree to monitor the balance of your prepaid customer account yourself to ensure it is sufficient at all times. With manual replenishment, the customer is responsible for maintaining a minimum balance, as set out in the Terms and Conditions or Use.

Initial deposit by vehicle

An initial deposit of $50 per vehicle is required when opening a customer account. Amounts billed for crossings will be deducted from this deposit.

It is the registered account holder sole responsibility to ensure that the credit balance of the customer account is adequately sufficient.

When the balance is insufficient to ensure full payment of toll for one crossing or of other charges, your account will be considered not to be in good standing. You will receive an invoice for toll and administration fees on the basis of the applicable Rate Schedule.

Avoid manual replenishment, subscribe to A25 automatic replenishment.

A transponder is an electronic device which, when installed on the vehicle, allows for electronic tolling. Each transponder is associated with a single licence plate.
